Mulugeta is from Ethiopia where he received his formal education in STEM (Science, Technology, and Engineering & Math) subject matter. His extensive community service background includes African American Student Advocates, which facilitates parents and community members coming together to advise and mentor the students. He is also a member of Silicon Valley Black Leadership Kitchen Cabinet.
Personal Statement: “I believe that in this blessed country, every child should have an opportunity to realize his or her own dreams. I am a firm believer in the philosophy of it takes a village to raise a child. Excellence, steadfastness and passion to community service are some of my guiding principles.”
